*   This is a totally free project

*   As it is based on sharing, any block of the quilt is free,
and can be used freely, but if you want to use it you should quote the author and link to this website. Thanks!

*   It’s VERY IMPORTANT you use your own hands, not just your mouse. That’s a crucial part of this project and its aim is to make art even if
you don’t feel like an artist. Art is one of the few things that make us
human being. Moreover, as we make a quilt, we have to use our own hands, hearts and minds, to make hopes of peace come true.

*   Think about what would you like to tell, what’s your message:
what does the words hopes of peace tell to you.

*   Transform your message in a piece of handmade art:
you can draw, paint, sew (like a real quilt), cross-stitch, crochet, knit,
make a collage, handwrite a text… whatever you like,
using a square as a frame. For my first block I used a post-it note, but feel free to use whatever you prefer.
Give it a title and sign it with your initials or nickname.

*   Take a picture or scan your handmade art piece,
transform it in a .jpg file (450x450 pxl)
and name it (not just quilt.jpg, please!!!).
You can modify your handmade art piece with PC tools, but please don’t alter it too much.

*   Write something about your quilt block, if you want.
You don’t have to, but it would be nice to know the story behind it.

*   Attach your quilt block to e-mail and send it here.
Please ALWAYS write name or nickname, age and country.

*   Patiently wait for your quilt block to be sewn to the quilt. It will be!
